The Keyestudio 4-channel 5V relay module (Ks0058) is designed for safely controlling high-power loads using microcontrollers such as Arduino, ESP32, or Raspberry Pi. It can switch both AC (up to 250V @ 10A) and DC (up to 30V @ 10A) loads. A key feature is its complete optical isolation (opto-couplers), which electrically separates the control circuit from the power circuit.

This protects the microcontroller from voltage spikes and electromagnetic interference (EMI) during relay switching. Each relay acts as a switch with three terminals: COM (Common), NO (Normally Open), and NC (Normally Closed). COM is the common point for the power line.

NO is open when the relay is off and closes when activated. NC is closed when the relay is off and opens when activated. Typical applications include home automation systems (controlling lights, valves, heaters), Arduino projects requiring the activation of stronger motors or pumps, and educational kits for learning basic electronics and control..
